This is a very hard-to-find original antique illustrated catalog from 1899 titled "
Portable Forges, Hand and Power Drills, Tire Benders, Upsetters, Screw Plates, Vises, &c., Manufactured by D. H. Potts, Successor to Potts & Weber, Lancaster, PA., U.S.A.
" The catalog measures 4.25" x 5.75" with 80 pages filled with really great illustrations of all the tools that you can buy. The first page reads "
Catalogue of Machinery and Tools for Blacksmiths, Wagon and Carriage Makers, Etc.
"
Some of the tools illustrated are: little giant bolt cutters and nut tappers, turning hammers, driving hammers, files, nippers, taper reamer, drill bits, tap and dies, anvils, hooks, vises, keystone upsetters, Columbian tire shrinkers, drill presses, hangers & pulleys, power fan blowers, hand crank blowers, ratchet forges, crank forges, giant lever forges, and more.
Pages 3-21 all show different types of forges with illustrations. The catalog is in nice condition except for the fact that the staples have deteriorated and the pages are loose. This can probably be re-stapled. There are no missing pages. A very hard-to-find blacksmith tool catalog.
