This is an Antique Book Shape Sewing Plaid Silk Needle Case Pin Holder Cushion Hand Sewn Needlework Tool. This wonderful book shape silk needle case pin holder cushion was made of burgundy color silk. The sides are dark green satin that give the book thickness. This item is all hand stitched inside and out. The interior is lined with plaid silk. Embroidery embellishes the wool pages for the needles. It measures 3-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches by 1 inch. The case ties together with a cord. The cord "binding" that connects the cover to the cushion/rest of the book only retains one cord in the middle. The top and bottom cords have long since torn. Smoke and pet free home.
