  • Condition: complete, tight binding, pages spring together, binding is in very good condition. Minor surface wear, at the top of the outer spine, the strip is beginning to separate, see photo. A dot of glue would fix that.

    Description

    This is an original 1896 tool catalog from the Mossberg Mfg Co of Attleboro Mass, probably the oldest Mossberg catalog anywhere, with a lot of information about the company and the products. It is 6" by 9", It has 104 pages, many illustrations of the machine tools being sold, with complete descriptions and specifications. At this time Attleboro was an important jewelry manufacturing center, and these tools were mostly directed at that industry. Automobile tools did not come until years later, and none are listed in this catalog. The line of tools in this catalog were formerly made by the Horton Co of Reading Mass, which Mossberg purchased in its entirety and took over the line. Ships priority at .75
